
As part of the Pacific Northwest’s oldest computer retail stores,
Connecting Point’s Service Department brings over 30 years experience
to your service, support, and maintenance issues. Vendor trained and
certified technicians, each with at least CompTIA A+ certification,
diagnose and repair computers, printers and other peripherals. Connecting
Point’s Service Department also offers extended warranties, onsite
evaluations, preventive and periodic maintenance services, wireless
network installations, and much more, all aimed at protecting your investment
and avoiding unforeseen expenses. We also carry a large assortment of
upgrade parts, including hard drives, memory, video, network, and sound
cards, keyboards, mice and monitors. Components not stocked can be special
ordered, and are usually received within a couple of days. We also stock
a huge assortment of inkjet and laser toner cartridges for printers
and multifunctions from HP, Canon, Epson, and others. Finally, we will
pick up repairs and then deliver them back to you at no additional charge
(within your greater metro area).

Minimum Charge $45
A verbal estimate will be given for out-of-warranty repairs, based on
a trained technician's diagnosis. No repair will take place without customer
approval. This minimum charge is applicable even if our technicians find
no problem with the equipment.
Hourly Rate $85/Hr
Covers “In Store” (carry-in) repairs only.
On-Site Repair
$125 for the first hour; $85/hour thereafter. One hour minimum. Service
calls outside the immediate metropolitan area also include a mileage allowance
(30 cents/mile, plus $20/hour travel time).
Expedited (“Rush Service”) Repairs
$125 for the first hour; $85/hour thereafter. One hour minimum. Same day
service. Estimate is provided on the same day it is requested.Expedited
on-site repairs are billed at $150 per hour for the first hour, $85 per
hour thereafter.
Data Preservation & Recovery $170
We charge a flat fee of $170 for recovering data files from a customer’s
’crashed’ hard drive. Application software should be reinstalled
from the original disks by the customer. Whenever possible, customers
are urged to back up their files before leaving their equipment.
Warranty Repairs
Customer must provide proof-of-purchase for warranty repairs. Manufacturers’
warranties generally cover parts, plus the labor to replace those parts.
